Ed Brown motions to the area of his 110 acre estate were gunshots rang out Saturday night. He's heard neighbors firing weapons in the past, but the time of day which these shots were heard caused alarm.

"Between 11:30 and midnight we heard somewhere between 30 and 40 shots. Rounds go off. Why anyone would be shooting late late at night I have no idea," Brown said.

Plainfield Police Chief Gordon Gillens says [the] Brown's report is a fabrication, but he admits that the federal standoff with the convicted tax evaders is taking its toll on the community.

"They are pretty disgusted or discouraged that it has taken seven months that this has been going on with no end in sight," he said. Read more.

We know the government is bad. The question always is, "What can we do about it?" The problem is so big. We start feeling like there isn't anything we can do alone. We band together in movements like the Free State Project (freestateproject.org) to concentrate our efforts. Still the problem of the federal government is massive—they appear to have limitless resources (stolen from us) to harass, jail, rob, torture, kill. What is even 1000 dissenters against that?

Even with a crowd of people at your back, it still takes that first one to step forward, brave the pain of punishment, and defy the oppressive rule of the government mafia. Last year, Russell Kanning took one step forward. He called it "Tilting at windmills" emulating Don Quixote battling giants—maybe crazy, but admirable nonetheless. He stepped into the IRS office in Keene, NH to hand them a flyer saying the IRS was funding such things as torture, empire building, rounding up and spying on citizens, and ignoring their constitution—just like Hitler. The flyer suggested the IRS workers should quit their jobs. (www.republicofnh.org/brochure.pdf) Before that day, Russell didn't know there was a regulation against handing out flyers inside government buildings, but a helpful man from Homeland Security was there to inform him of this. When Russell decided to go up to the IRS with his flyer anyway, he was arrested, and then released. He went back to the IRS to try again, and was arrested again. After he didn't show up for court the next day, Federal Marshals came to our house, threw him to the ground and hauled him to court. He was convicted of being disobedient and held in maximum security for three weeks waiting for sentencing. At that point, they decided they weren't going to get any money out of him and sentenced him to time served.

Ed and Elaine Brown are right in their fight with the IRS and the government. There is no law giving the government the right to tax income. The 16th amendment giving the government the right to tax income, was never ratified. In other words, it was never approved. That was in 1913, and to this day, it is not legal to tax income.

Like it or not, believe it or not, the law is on the side of the Browns.

Spoke With News Desk At The NH Union Leader

We called and spoke with Mr. Perkins at the NH Union Leader about the issue of comments in favor of the Brown's not being published on their website. If someone is interested in learning more of the details of this call, feel free to post in the comments section. There's obviously an inherent bias against the Browns in the Union Leader's reporting. For example, I asked why they haven't reported on the Tom Cryer win against the IRS. They said something to the effect that "Tom Cryer has nothing to do with Ed and Elaine Brown." Please call the NH Union Leader and demand that they report both sides of the Brown's story.

When I asked if they would cover Tommy Cryer's case/win if Tom were to actually visit NH and avail himself to be interview by the NH Union Leader, the gentleman answered - something to the effect - that this would indeed make an important difference in their decision to cover the Tom Cryer story. One thing was noted in reference to Tom Cryer's story and that was the admission from the NH Union Leader that it wasn't covered by AP which seems to be a big influence on whether they report on the story.

Union Leader Blocking Comments From Ed and Elaine Supporters

In a real stroke of "fair and balanced" reporting, the "Union Leader" is blocking all reader comments from anybody who posts anything in support of Ed and Elaine.

The Union Leader pays somebody to sit there and read every negative and hateful comment and let them go through and to censor out any comment that is supportive of Ed and Elaine in any way shape or form to give the appearance that everybody is against Ed and Elaine.

Shame on you "Union Leader".

Police: No Activity At Home Of Couple Convicted Of Tax Evasion - (blatant LIE..there was "activity" as multiple shots were fired in the woods and this "activity" was reported to the local police)

PLAINFIELD, N.H. -- The U.S. Marshal's Office and state and local police insist there has been no law enforcement activity (there should have been "law enforcement activity" to respond to the reports that 30-40 shots were fired in the woods near the Brown's home) at the property of a Plainfield couple convicted of tax evasion ("convicted" implies the administration of due process which means a fair trail which wasn't the case for Ed or Elaine).

People who live in that area also report no activity (Ed and Elaine and their supporters who have been staying with them qualify as "people who live in that area" and they all reported to the local police that multiple shots were fired in the woods around their home...a rephrasing of the LIE).

A supporter of Ed and Elaine Brown who is staying at their home tells an online radio station that he heard gunshots at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday (read "supporters of Ed and Elaine" cannot be trusted to tell the truth).

Overnight, News 9 along with local police, state police, and the Marshal's office received numerous phone calls from the couple's supporters from several different states.

However, the reports of shots or a law enforcement presence are unfounded (repeating the same LIE for there were multiple witnesses who heard and reported to the local police these shots).

Ed and Elaine Brown have been holed up (they are not "holed up"....they are individuals who have been denied due process of law) Plainfield home since they were each sentenced (by a court that violated their Constitutional right to due process) to more than five years in prison in April on federal tax evasion charges.

Can you say dereliction of duty? Or the equivalency of such for a police officer and dispatcher? There are multiple eyewitness accounts regarding the activity that went on at 401 Center of Town Road, in Plainfield yesterday. These multiple eyewitness and ear witness accounts of gunfire and covert operations being conducted on the Browns property can be confirmed by well over a dozen of their house guests.

After receiving notification that 30-40 rounds were fired on said property. Many people took action in order to prevent another Waco like massacre. During the process of being bombarded with literally hundreds of phone calls in the early morning of the 29th there were numerous reports over an eight hour time period which indicated that the police had responded to the emergency calls by saying things like “We have not heard anything.” or that there is nothing going on at the Browns.

Caller after caller, calling into the “The Wolf at Your Door” radio show, hosted by Torin Wolf; gave testimony after testimony of police dispatchers stonewalling with respects to the reported gunfire on the Browns property. It is in this author’s opinion that the police department stood down deliberately, stone walled callers deliberately, and hung up on many concerned callers whom were simply trying to save the life of Ed and Elaine Brown.

Little did they know or realize that this little game of psychological warfare conducted by your favorite alphabet agency of choice was going to be used as a pretext to rabble rouse the Brown supporters into unwittingly making the media portray us as a nuisance to the local community. History is the harshest judge of man, it makes people and it breaks people.

Time did not heal the wounds left by the happenings that occurred at Ruby Ridge, nor did time heal the world of the Waco massacre. Ed and Elaine Brown have been asking for the law for over 10 years, and will continue to do so for 10 years more if need be.

Time and the actions that one chooses to make or not take ultimately become each and everyone’s own destiny. If one does not choose their own destiny; it simply manifests, or if you do choose; you will manifest destiny. I know it’s easy for you not to act, I know it’s easy for you to play your little game, because no good deed goes unpunished, considered even less is the fact that no bad deed is forgotten. Yet behind all those words lay one simple truth the law that makes most Americans liable for an income tax, simply does not exist; and it is that very truth that shall set us free. Reports of Shots Fired at Brown's Home

Danny Riley is reporting that dozens of shots were fired around 11:30 last night (July 28th) in the woods near tax truthers Ed and Elaine Brown's home in Plainfield.

We went up to the Brown's home this morning. We were able to drive all the way up to the house and did not see any police presence anywhere around their house this morning. A visitor staying in an RV in the driveway told us about 4:30 this morning, someone was running around outside the RV, banging on the side of it and shaking the vehicle. He told us there was quite a lot of movement in the woods after the gunshots had been fired.

Ed and Elaine Brown are tax protesters in the state of New Hampshire. From DAY ONE they agreed to pay ALL taxes that they owe should they lose their case against the government. Ed and Elaine have sworn in court that if the government simply shows them the law that requires them to pay an income tax they would pay all owed taxes with penalties and interest. The government has yet to show the law. They will not allow the Browns to present their case in court. The government simply says, “you must pay, because we say so,” and “if you don’t pay, we will throw you in jail and take all that you own.”

Police: No Activity At Home Of Couple Convicted Of Tax Evasion

PLAINFIELD, N.H. -- The U.S. Marshal's Office and state and local police insist there has been no law enforcement activity at the property of a Plainfield couple convicted of tax evasion.

People who live in that area also report no activity.

A supporter of Ed and Elaine Brown who is staying at their home tells an online radio station that he heard gunshots at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Shots Fired At Browns Probable Attempt at Provocation

Numerous incidents last night around New Hampshire couple's property had frantic observers worried siege was underway

30 to 40 shots were fired outside Ed and Elaine Brown's house last night in what was a probable attempt at provocation to goad the Browns and their supporters into a violent response.

Alex Jones spoke to Elaine Brown at around 11:30pm last night and confirmed that what sounded like automatic weapon fire was heard coming from a wooded area behind the house.

Another supporter of the Browns who was staying on the property in a trailer was also startled when his mobile home was violently pounded on in the middle of the night, but the perpetrator escaped.

Okay,,, Here's the latest on the Brown's.. It's now 9:00am, Sunday morning. I just got off the phone with my friend, Danny Romero. He the owner\operator of "We The People Radio Network" . I actually woke him up. He had been up all night broadcasting live with Ed and Elaine Brown. As I understand it, 30 to 40 shots were fired from behind the Brown's house, in the woods. A trailer at the top of the hill was shaken and rocked, appearing to just be harassment. Danny put out the local police agencies phone numbers, and I'm told they were inundated with calls. Currently no one has stepped forward to take responsibility for the shots fired.

We were first apprised of the situation at the Browns at sometime around 2:30 am, today, followed by another one around 3:30 am. We do not know how many people were present at the Browns' home when this occurred, but obviously, this appears to be a show of force by the feds. As many supporters as possible should try to make their way to the Browns at this crucial time to show the feds that the American People will not be intimidated by these Nazi-style tactics, obviously intended to scatter the Browns' supporters, further isolate the Browns and alarm their local neighborhoods.

Hello, I was just informed that the next event at Ed and Elaine Browns "may be" the weekend of Sept.3 (Labor Day) which would give everyone a 3 day weekend for the trip up and back.

The other day a jury in Louisiana ruled against the IRS. While many view those who refuse to pay taxes on the basis that it is unconstitutional as crackpots, Tom Cryer only asked the Government to show him where they get their authority to tax him and he would gladly pay all of his taxes. To this day the Government nor the IRS have provided him with any documentation to back up their claims. Read more.

Ron Paul: In for the Long Haul

On July 15th, the Federal Election Commission announced the 2nd-quarter fundraising totals for each presidential candidate. In the Republican field, Ron Paul's $2.4 million placed him:

- 3rd in total receipts for the quarter
- 4th in total receipts to date
- 3rd in total current assets (ahead of former front-runner John McCain, and just $800,000 behind Mitt Romney)

Thus far, 47% of the contributions made to Ron Paul's campaign are donations of under $200 from individuals (John McCain's 17% is the second-highest percentage). This is a telling statistic, as it highlights the fact that most other candidates rely heavily upon donations from corporate interests and political action committees (PACs) (i.e. moneyed, influence-seeking sources who can readily afford to contribute large sums). Since Congressman Paul has always voted against special favors and privileges for anyone, special interests know they have nothing to gain by stuffing Ron Paul's campaign coffers. As one member of my local Meetup group put it on a home-made sign, "Ron Paul is thin because he won't let special interests buy him lunch."
