He says he is busy taking some kind of census bureau poll or something that he had said he would do so he could not talk right now but hopefully we will be hearing more from him later. I am running late for work or I would call him back in ten minutes like he said. Do you know a good cartoonist or anyone who knows one? I had a 'vision' this morning of a couple of cartoons.

The first was an American patriot standing with one foot on the chest of a citizen on his back on the ground with both feet and hands flailing up in the air. The voice balloon on the citizen is saying, "But I don't
WANT to know the truth!" The patriot is wearing an open jacket with a T-shirt underneath that says, "Give me liberty or give me death." In the pocket of the jacket is a book titled 'IRS code'. Tucked under his
left arm is a book titled 'Creature from Jekyll Island' clutched against a notebook titled 'Real ID Act'. In his right hand is an oversized red pill labeled 'Freedom to Fascism' (and possibly 'loose change'
underneath). The pill is being forced into the citizen's mouth. The voice balloon on the patriot is saying, "Take this, you wimp! We need all the help we can get if we are going to save this country!"

The second cartoon is of a raging judge at his bench with gavel raised. His balloon says, "You have not paid us! You're guilty!" Peeking out from behind him with wide eyes are a couple of guys labeled IRS and DOJ. In front of the bench is Ed Brown. His balloon says, "But I can't find a law that says I have to pay and they won't show me one!" The jurors are in the jury box saying, "if we have to pay, you have to pay."

The circumstances surrounding the Browns, a New Hampshire couple convicted of federal income tax evasion, could turn on a dime.

Recently AFP interviewed Ed Brown, a Plainfield home owner who grew up in the Roxbury slums of Boston. He and Mrs. Brown, who is a dentist, are self-made people who worked hard for their lot in life, only to see it swept away by a government that takes in gargantuan sums of money via taxes on the domestic populace to pay enormous interest on the national debt (which cannot be repaid), much of which is due to America‚s endless military conflicts.

When AFP contacted Brown recently, he was living everyday life as best he can at the house he built on their 110 acres. His wife, who he said is in a state of arrest wearing an electronic ankle bracelet—is staying with a son in a neighboring state.

Greg Hallet: "America is a sub-colony of Britain and it is also a plantation of the Pope and a colony of Israel. Israel is about the only country that's now colonizing....that is still colonizing. So America was bankrupted for the first time on the 1st of January of 1788 as the United States. This came about through the various wars in America for independence from Great Britain and slavery which was a construct as slavery was about to made redundant by the "combine harvestor". The combine harvestor was first patented 17 years before the Civil War in 1834 by Hyran (sp?) Moore, the same year Cyrus McCormack patented the mechanical reaper. This made slaves too expensive to feed and by the time of the Civil War, 1861, many of the slaves in the south and all of the slaves in the north were already free. The British purpose of these wars - the Civil War and the War of Independence - was not to win them, but to continue them so that the United States would be bound to Great Britain by debt. This debt has more rule than a colony, is more hidden than a colony and last longer than a colony. This dit to Britain still rules America to this day."

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Brian Emmett's childhood fantasy came true when he won a free trip to outer space.

But the 31-year-old was crushed when he had to cancel his reservation because of the IRS.

Emmett won his ticket to the stars in a 2005 sweepstakes by Oracle Corp., in which he answered a series of online questions on Java computer code.

He became an instant celebrity, giving media interviews and appearing on stage at Oracle's trade show.

For the self-described space buff who has attended space camp and watched shuttle launches from Kennedy Space Center, it seemed like a chance to become an astronaut on a dime.

Then reality hit. After some number-crunching, Emmett realized he would have to report the $138,000 galactic joy ride as income and owe $25,000 in taxes.

Unwilling to sink into debt, the software consultant from the San Francisco Bay area gave up his seat.

Levy may be made upon the accrued salary or wages of any officer, employee, or elected official, of the United States, the District of Columbia, or any agency or instrumentality of the United States or the District of Columbia, by serving a notice of levy on the employer (as defined in section 3401(d)) of such officer, employee, or elected official. If the Secretary makes a finding that the collection of such tax is in jeopardy, notice and demand for immediate payment of such tax may be made by the Secretary and, upon failure or refusal to pay such tax, collection thereof by levy shall be lawful without regard to the 10-day period provided in this section.

Update on the Ed Brown vs. IRS Standoff 1/28/07

Plainfield - A couple more long-term supporters of Ed Brown showed up at his home. A young man from upstate New York is staying at the house until further notice, to film and post short videos on Google video. He said that many people visited Ed yesterday. Another drove from Missouri to camp out front for a week in order to show his apprecation for Ed standing up to the Federal Government.

I visited Ed Brown yesterday (Saturday, Jan. 27). I took some camping gear, because I didn't know if it would be advisable to spend the night. I did not spend the night there, because it did not seem necessary.

Mr. Brown was a little hoarse when I arrived, the toll of speaking to numerous reporters, government officials, and well-wishers taking a toll on his voice. But his spirits remain high, and he remains extremely talkative. Still surrounded by a small group of loyal friends, Brown remains optimistic that his legal maneuvering will provide a way out of his predicament. His close associates confided that they were cautiously optimistic that they would be able to overturn the guilty conviction. Overall, spirits were incredibly high.

If anyone would like to support Mr. Brown, it might be well to bring food supplies. Although Mr. Brown has a large storehouse of dried provisions, the dried provisions aren't necessarily the most flavorful delectables. I brought soup with me. Mr. Brown also has a fondness for ice cream and pie.

Thanks very much to the reader who designed this Ed Brown blog ad to run on other blogs.

We would also like to have one that is about 1 inch wide and 2 inches tall that would better fit into the right or left hand column of a blog such as instapundit.com or talkleft.com or firedoglake.com.

Also we would like to not have any specific url written on the blog ad. Maybe in place of the url have some verbage that will make people want to click on the ad and learn more. Maybe something like "Watch Ed Brown Take On The IRS" or something like that. Or maybe "IRS Standoff in New Hampshire".

The url http://www.infowars.com/plainfield for example goes to the inforwars.com backup blog and they don't seem to be keeping it updated. We would like to have people come directly to this blog when they click on the ad. The url can be specified when placing the ad and does not need to be on the ad itself.

Thanks for the great design work. You've got the right idea. Just need to fine tune it a little bit if we could please. Thank you very much for your good work.
