More On HR 1955: The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007

Excerpts from: Lee Rodgers 10/25/07

The U.S. House of Representatives recently passed HR 1955 titled the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007. This bill is one of the most blatant attacks against the Constitution yet and actually defines thought crimes as homegrown terrorism. If passed into law, it will also establish a commission and a Center of Excellence to study and defeat so called thought criminals. Unlike previous anti-terror legislation, this bill specifically targets the civilian population of the United States and uses vague language to define homegrown terrorism. Amazingly, 404 of our elected representatives from both the Democrat and Republican parties voted in favor of this bill. There is little doubt that this bill is specifically targeting the growing patriot community that is demanding the restoration of the Constitution. First let's take a look at the definitions of violent radicalization and homegrown terrorism as defined in Section 899A of the bill.

The definition of violent radicalization uses vague l anguage to define this term of promoting any belief system that the government considers to be an extremist agenda. Since the bill doesn't specifically define what an extremist belief system is, it is entirely up to the interpretation of the government. Considering how much the government has done to destroy the Constitution they could even define Ron Paul supporters as promoting an extremist belief system. Literally, the government according to this definition can define whatever they want as an extremist belief system.

Essentially they have defined violent radicalization as thought crime. This bill is completely insane. It literally allows the government to define any and all crimes including thought crime as violent radicalization and homegrown terrorism. Obviously, this legislation is unconstitutional on a number of levels and it is clear that all 404 representatives who voted in favor of this bill are traitors and should be removed from office immediately. The treason spans both political parties and it shows us all that there is no difference between them. The bill will go on to the Senate and will likely be passed and signed into the law by George W. Bush.
Considering that draconian legislation like the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act have already been passed, there seems little question that this one will get passed as well. This is more proof that our country has been completely sold out by a group of traitors at all levels of government.

-------------more-----------

The Bill is going to the Senate for consideration while our troops are deployed in the U.S. doing "Police Duties" expressly forbidden by the Constitution.

This could also set precedent to block internet sites.

Please call your Senators ASAP.

Ron Paul pays taxes on his income. He doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning, or even getting the Republican nomination, but he pays his taxes nonetheless.

And here's why:

It is an undisputable FACT that the average American is liable to pay tax on income.

*sigh* you do your cause no favor by stunts like this. This is establishing a commission to study the problem. That's it, its creating a study group. You make it sound like the bill is redefining law, or increasing authority of police or military...but it's not. Its funding a bloody study group. If you cry wolf long enough then when something actually matters no one will listen. Its out of control rhetoric like this that leads me to be driven to defeat your insanity.

(3) HOMEGROWN TERRORISM- The term `homegrown terrorism' means the use, planned use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual born, raised, or based and operating primarily within the United States or any possession of the United States to intimidate or coerce the United States government, the civilian population of the United States, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

Again congress, what is the definition or United States as used here.

What we need is a bill to define all the unique terms used in the laws under our constitution and how it applies to me. It's time to through them all our who are part of the network.

First comes the "study". Then come the recommendations from the "experts". Then, most likely (and amongst other things), comes the censoring of the internet.

Hillary Clinton already has started promoting the idea of a "gatekeeper" [censor] for the internet.

The internet is the last bastion (of any scale) of the free exchange of ideas. The Corporatocracy can't have that.

Once again, fascist tactics could very well be used in the name of "national security".

We'll see.

Sincerely,
Scott

Here's the clue (from the bill) to my opinions above:

"(3) The Internet has aided in facilitating violent radicalization, ideologically based violence, and the homegrown terrorism process in the United States by providing access to broad and constant streams of terrorist-related propaganda to United States citizens."

[Nanny Govt wants to take care of you. After all, you might get radicalized on the web.]

To anyone who has studied political history to any significant degree, what's going on in America is so obvious as to be obscene.

The Constitutional Republic into which I was born (in 1942) is long gone...it was lost in small increments over a period of decades.

If we don't restore it (peacefully), we have no one to blame but ourselves.

How America is following the path of Nazi Germany...

Nazi Germany tattoo = Micro Chips
1933 Nazi Germany Book Burning = HOMEGROWN TERRORISM 2007

Over a hundred years earlier, the German-Jewish poet, Heinrich Heine, had stated, "Where books are burned, human beings are destined to be burned too."

History is repeating itself! Are we going to follow the steps of the Jews? Or are we going to learn by example?

If the Senate passes this Act, it is the final proof in the pudding that its no longer a government OF the people, BY the people, FOR the people!

I suggest when calling your State Senators you say...

I would like my senator to prove to me that the Govenment is still "Of the People ~ By the People ~ For the People, by voting NO on the Homegrown Terriost Act!

If we all repeat that to them over and over they might remember why they took office in the first place!!!
