U.S. Marshals arrested tax protesters Ed and Elaine Brown at their Plainfield home yesterday, ending the couple's eight-month standoff without bloodshed.
The Browns vowed never to be taken alive, but U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier said yesterday that both Browns were arrested without incident on their property around 7:45 p.m.
"The Browns may now begin serving their 63-month federal prison terms," Monier said in a written statement last night. A representative for the marshals refused to answer any questions about the arrests last night.

Interesting.
Did they run out of food? Someone needs to get the scoop on this change of heart.
In so many ways, this is good news. Ed & Elaine have a lot yet to offer. I'm afraid, though, that Ed's threats of violence (justified or not) will garner him more jail time. Hopefully, Elaine will not get caught up in that net.
Boycott the Corporatocracy whenever possible---that's the reasonable path to pursue.

I'm so glad those folks were arrested. They did not pay their taxes and now will pay. Let's all applaude the U.S. Marshall service for doing a wonderful job of safely taken the Brown's into custody. Now you all can move on with your lives.

I thought Ed had some military backing of his own. He said this is his case, he has had 10 years to prepare. Hope he has a plan B.
