Governor Signs Nation's First Statutory Rejection Of Act

WASHINGTON - The American Civil Liberties Union today applauded the Montana legislature and Governor Brian Schweitzer for enacting the nation's first flat-out statutory rejection of the Real ID Act, which seeks to create a backdoor national identity card system by federalizing state driver's licenses. Montana's action was the latest and strongest step in an ongoing rebellion against the act in states across the nation.

"In January, the state of Maine held a 'Boston Tea Party' when they became the first to declare their opposition to Real ID by passing a resolution," said Tim Sparapani, an ACLU Legislative Counsel. "Today Montana has taken that rebellion to an entirely new level by issuing what amounts to a 'Declaration of Independence' from the act."

The Montana law declares that the state "will not participate in the implementation" of Real ID, bans the state's Motor Vehicle Division from implementing it, and directs the agency to report to the governor any attempts by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to "secure the implementation" of the act. Special thanks to David D. Anderson, Chairman of the Constitution Party of Yellowstone County (Montana) for spearheading this effort.

In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.

To truelogic~

There have been but a few scriptors of sense, within this site & yours has been one of them, along with the likes of fredmarshal & myself, of course.

I share your joy & even your zeal, concerning the fantastic news from Montana! However, I have 2 children, who have been eagerly following the news of the Brown saga... & yes, that means they've been reading these pages, as well.

Anyway, on to the impetus of these words. The profanity is something I was surprised to see & am against- considering that this should be a site, whereby the kids can read & learn, too!

In any case, if it is even possible, would you please remove your "Out F_ _ _in Standing" comment, before I allow my kids to view this site?

Thanks~ truepatriot/Joey

You're Absolutely Right. And I apologize.
Please consider My Humble Apology to be Sincere, and Add to it the Weight of My Utmost Respect for You and Your Family.

I do not know how to "Remove a Post" as I am not the site Moderator, and have never removed a post in the past.

I apologize for this, and If the Kids can Forgive Me this once, and Chalk it up to a lesson on the 1st Amendment right to Free Speech... I promise to choose more censored words in the Future.

Others, please except my apologies as being directed to the Public at Large and YOU as well.

I'm just Fornicating Ignorant sometimes, and other times I just don't Copulating think of others.

Sincerely

Since We're all having such a great time, and Since we all Believe in the Cause...

I'd just like to say that I'm sorry if I caused any Coetus Interruptus in Your Day, nor did I mean to Cause a Priapism.

It is ALL... About the Kids. Of that there is no Doubt.

Our Children need things They can Laugh about in Life... We need to give Them things about Life to Love... Things to appreciate, and Things or Ideas to Respect and to be Proud of. We need to Acknowledge Our Children's Rights to Freedom and Liberty as it Once was Acknowledged on Our behalf... And We need to do it NOW. Our Children know not Their Rights until We Teach them, as We were taught The Constitution.

We should NOT leave Them Things or Ideas They come to Hate or Resent...
Such as the fact that, as We Teach Our Children the Constitution in Schools across the Nation... We are slowly Dismantling it by Statute, Regulation and Code.

What are We to tell them as Adults when They ask Us, "Dad, Why didn't you Defend Our Rights when You still had Them to Defend for us?" Or "Mom, I always thought The Constitution and the Bill of Rights were Real not Fiction."

I think of the Children Each and every Time I think of the Constitution...

Because when thinking about Our Constitution Today... The very next Important thought to Consider... Is Our Children.
