Tax protesters ordered to pay $216,000
A federal judge has signed a preliminary order asking Ed and Elaine Brown to hand over $216,000 to the government as part of a criminal penalty.
The order, which will become final at the couple's sentencing in April, could eventually lead to the seizure of property owned by the couple, including the fortified Plainfield home where they are currently holed up in violation of bail conditions.
The order establishes that the Browns used illegally purchased money orders to pay off mortgages on the commercial property that housed Elaine Brown's West Lebanon dental practice and the couple's hilltop home.

what's next, let us pray.
The Money Orders used were not "ILLEGAL" in any way! The Government and Postal Service said themselves that they only became suspicious when the Money Orders Stopped being Purchased.
Ed Has said himself that the reason for this was because His Mortgage was Paid off, and no longer needed to Purchase Money Orders.
In Other Words... Ed was using Money Orders to make Mortgage Payments! And Stopped Purchasing them when they were no longer needed.
Is that Illegal?
Absolutely Not.
Since when is it against the law, or illegal to pay your Bills in such fashion, as to use Money Orders?!
Do you think Ed would have looked less suspicious to the Government if He had Paid Cash once a month to Pay His Mortgage?
Fact is... It's not against the Law to pay with Cash Either.
The Government would rather the people be focused on Bugus Charges...
Instead of the fact that Ed and Elaine are, within the Law, and are Legally speaking... NOT LIABLE FOR INCOME TAX.
And they Certainly would rather the People think of anything besides what a TRAITOR Judge McAulliffe is to his Office, and to WE THE PEOPLE.
