Who among us has not followed the saga of self-proclaimed patriot Ed Brown and his crusade against the federal government's onerous and odious tax system?

Darned few, if the letters to the Monitor are any indication. The whole world (or at least a representative sample of the world's paranoid and put-upon people) followed the tax avoider's trial with rapt attention, and a fair portion of them are ready to man Brown's barricades in rural Plainfield.
