Gene Chapman Writes Letter To President Bush Regarding Ed Brown

Dear Mr. President:

Concerning the Ed Brown Armed Standoff with Federal Agents (U. S. Marshals) in New Hampshire, I've been working to find a non-violent solution to the matter for a few days, now. I presented to Ed on the phone today the enclosed basic structure for a non-violent solution to the standoff. Ed is obviously euphoric with the media attention he is getting, so looking down the road to conclusions is not his primary interest yet. However, having been involved in negotiations in three standoffs now, I know, as do you, that either Ed or the Government will have to give at some point.
