Wife: Husband said 'he will die' before going to prison
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) _ The wife of a man barricaded in his fortress-like home since he was convicted of tax evasion said Wednesday she's sick with worry about his safety.
''They're not going to let him stay there forever,'' Elaine Brown told WMUR-TV. ''So, how's that going to end? I don't know.''
Ed and Elaine Brown were convicted last month of plotting to conceal their income and avoid paying federal income tax for years. They argued the tax is illegitimate and no one is required to pay it. They said they would pay their taxes if the government shows them a law that allows labor to be taxed.

these are already posted here in archive and else where but thanks anyways. They are very entertaining
I would say that at this time, this blog is the central place to find out what is going on with Ed Brown. The videos you mention have already been posted here.
Below is the text of an email i sent to Foster's Online.
On 2/8/07 your web site shows an article about the Brown couple in New Hampshire on their tax case. Part of the article states “Elaine Brown, a dentist who earned most of the couple's income”. The article does not say who wrote it. The legal term “income” is not defined in the statutes or the regulations of the IRC. Nor can Congress define it. The legal term “income” has been defined by the Supreme Court and it is not what this person or most people may think it is. What I would like to know is does this person have the credentials to make a legal determination and then print it on your web site? If you have any questions please let me know.
we all have to pay our taxes, why does this couple think they don't? Taxes are imposed under section 1 of the tax code. Taxable income is defined in section 61. These are federal statutes authorized by the constitution and enacted by the legislature imposing a duty to pay taxes.
Mistake #1 trying to find some silly 'income isn't defined' argument; sure it is look in websters or the above. Mistake #2 not hiring a lawyer. Mistakes 3-100000 are too much to type in this blog.
I do however give kudo's to Ed in that he spent an ungodly amount of time and energy fighting his case. I wish him good luck, but he received due process required under the law.
