Thomas Jefferson Would be Put Under Surveillance Today
We are living in a time when most people want peace, less government, and the hope of being free. After all, these rights have been handed down from generation to generation. They were fought for, and lived for. Yet, we have seen so many of our rights taken away by a government that views freedom of choice, protest, and the desire to be free from intervention as threats to the country.

I recently wrote to my congresswoman, the Honorable Patty Murray of Washington State, asking which law states that I am legally liable to the Federal Government to pay income taxes. Here is the response:
"As you know, Article I of the Constitution gives Congress the power to raise revenue through legislation. However, the federal income tax was established by the Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution, passed in 1913. This amendment gives Congress the power to “lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
Looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, walks like a duck... Must be a form response!
If this is a form response though, that means this question is being asked quite a bit as of late.
She also didn't answer my question. She gave me what I like to refer to as a 'non-answer'.
