Subject : Journalist Covering Ed Brown Story Refuses To Speak With Ed Brown

Dear Margot Sanger-Katz,

We are trying to find your email address. It would be nice if you would add it to the end of your articles to make it easier to contact you. Allowing reader comments would even be better.

In the meantime we would like to thank you for covering the Ed Brown story. The only security of all is in a free press.

We would hate to have to print a headline like the one above, followed by an article telling the world that a journalist covering the Ed Brown story refuses to speak to Ed Brown.

Ed would like to grant you an exclusive interview with him. Give him a call and he'll get one of his audioblogger guys on the line with the both of you to record the full conversation and post the audio of that recording here on the blog uncut and unedited. You can then write up an article and include a link to the audio of that conversation.

This could put you in line for the next Pulitzer Prize.

Thank you very much.

Ed looks forward to hearing from you.

How to destroy press credibility in three easy steps.

1) Make numerous angry comments about "shunning" a particular reporter.

2) Draft up phony headlines to blackmail that reporter into calling you after she's been publicly shunned.

3) Dictate terms to use a medium other than the one actually used by that reporter.

And Ed wonders why he gets bad press. How dumb can this get?

Hmmmmm. I thought that Ed has been raving the last several days that he wasn't going to speak to the press anymore?

Oh, how dare he want to record interviews. It would be so sad if the main stream media couldn't spin stories any more.
not
If this reporter is after the trooth, she should have no problem with her interviews being recorded.
