Ed will flounder around, make a few new stories, and then he will be arrested and go away more or less quietly and stuck away for life, just like Irwin Schiff, and the media will have once again portrayed the tax protestor crowd as a bunch of fringe nuts.

Ed keeps asking for support, but at the end of the day the tax protestor crowd is basically gutless and won't do anything other some some symbolic silliness (maybe some "V's" can stage a march in Vermont), and all the talk of the "big fight" is just that -- talk.

There is a difference between bravery and bravado. Ed Brown is a big talker, but he is about to give you a textbook example of bravado. You'll forget about him in a few months anyhow, just like people forgot about Phil Marsh, Lynn Meredith, Irwin Schiff, and many other tax protestor nuts who have gone to prison and been forgotten after a few months.

When was the last time that you heard an Irwin Schiff audioblog, for instance?

This guy is delusional. The reality is that life is not fair and many times the ideal and the reality do not mesh but you have to deal with the reality not some fantasty version of how you think the world should be.

Now if all of you guys who purport to admire him really do then just pay his tax bill for him and negotiate to have him decalred incompetent (the judge should never have let it even go to trial).

He is obviously a passionate person too bad he chose to waste his energy in this way and take his poor wife down this path. People just don't realize how good we have it in America and and how we should cherish what we have not find ways to create more problems for ourselves and everyone else.

Should the governement go in there blasting? No of course not, waco was a disgrace as was ruby ridge. These people are insane and need help not bullets. Yes i know it will cost money to have marshals stay and guard the place but so what, better than killing the guy (remember we are talking about some one who is not with it, in other words someone who deserves our compassion) and maybe having some marshals injured too. Infact just leave him completely alone and then in 2-3 years when he is complacent and in town just nab him peacefully and take him to mental hospital for treatment. No need for all this drama and certainly no need for any violence. It isn't as though he is a threat to anyone.

Hope some sense is brought to bear. And all you other fanatics stop encouraging him telling him how much support he has, you are just feedng his fantasy and making the situation worse.

Okay, let me sum up the previous two comments.

Communism is the “only” path to an orderly society.

We should all just accept that the government now has the power to take whatever they decide they want from anyone that dares to work for the benefit of those that refuse to get off the couch.

The communists have won and we now live in a country that openly practices the “from each according to their ability, to each according to their need” mantra.

We should all resign ourselves to the social policies of the current political regime that has seized control of the major political parties and our nation.

We should all accept that the majority in this nation now has the power to rule over the minority with brut force and firearms.

Fair trials are too much trouble and a waste of time, especially when defendants demand due process.

Anyone that still clings to the ideals of capitalism and individual liberties that this country was founded upon should be treated for mental illness.

Delusions of freedom can be erased with a few years of drugs and psycho therapy.

With enough Ritilan we might be able to treat all of these delusional people.

Is that a fair assessment of the above comments?
