NSL provision in PATRIOT Act struck down by federal court
A federal court judge issued a decision today striking down the National Security Letter provision of the PATRIOT Act. The judge warns about the serious risk of allowing the executive branch to undermine judicial oversight.
This will not stop Herr Bush. He will appeal it, and claim that he can continue until the appeal is heard. If the appeal goes against him, he'll appeal it to the Supreme Court...and claim that he can continue until the appeal is heard.
The above is what he has done with the several court rulings that have gone against him in the past.
[I'll bet bank robbers wish they could do that...keep robbing banks until their appeals are heard.]
