This is EXCELLENT!

Many of the Brown critics do not know that Ed & Elaine repeatedly petitioned the IRS for answers to legitimate questions, starting in 1994---TWO YEARS BEFORE THEY STOPPED PAYING THE TAX. They received no answers from a SUPPOSEDLY servant government.

For that reason alone, they are completely justified in withholding taxes.

They also submitted supporting Supreme Court decisions and other documents that gave strength to their stand. Again, no response from the IRS.

The type of documents they submitted are never allowed as evidence in a tax trial. "Frivolous", or "not relevant" say the subverted judges nine times out of ten.

Where is due process?

In 1774, our Founders laid a precedent for withholding monies from a nonresponsive government. See www.givemeliberty.org

Our government has become subverted and arrogant. It is time for a change.

BOYCOTT THE CORPORATOCRACY whenever possible.

It was not a test at all it was a raid. The only reason it stopped was because of Mr. Dog Walker.

Where's all the supporters that are supposed to be surrounding Ed's house to protect them?

I'll tell you where they are - they are standing as far away as possible because of Ed's big mouth and all his ramblings about being a fiction, 9/11, Illuminati etc. etc.

Like I said before - Ed is his own worst enemy. When this started it was promising and on the right track. A movement was growing and people were being energized. However, Ed ruined all that.

Ed - I hope you are reading this. You sir are a moron and soon you are going to be a dead moron and your cause will be quickly forgotten because you yourself blew it. You are the blame.

Ed - look around at the tiny bit of support you have right now especially after a planned raid. That's all that will ever be there because of your foolishness.

What gets me really pissed off is the fact that your moronic actions tarnish the credibility of legitimate patriots.

What little respect I had for you, Reno and the rest has been replaced with embarrassment. You are an embarrassment to the true patriot movement in this country. I'm sure the founding father would feel the same way.

It isn't the IRS to job to act as your wet nurse, your mommy, or your tax attorney.

The Browns were told the law in the court filings. They just choose to ignore what they read.

Ed Brown: I'll give a million dollars that I don't have to anyone who can tell me the answer to 4 plus 4, but I'm not going to accept 8 as the answer.

It most certainly is the government's job to answer my questions! If they don't want to answer questions about laws, then they shouldn't have created them to begin with. I doubt that the creators of the US constitution intended for government agents to sit around and eat donuts. The government is supposed to be a servant to the American people, not the other way around.

The IRS doesn't write or create the laws. Please learn some basic civics.

Do yourself a favor & look up the word "miscreant" in the dictionary & you'll likely see a picture of yourself next to the definition.

Those, such as yourself, are one of the main reasons that gov. has been able to grow so corrupt. The reason being that instead of being vigilent, informed, patriotic & productive... you squander your time behaving in a sub-human manner.

Get in jail where you belong. We all pay. It's what keeps electricity in our homes and paved roads under our cars, among many other things. I hope you suffer the same fate as the Waco wackos. You play with fire, you get burned.

To Mike:

Please do your homework.

1. Excise taxes pay for items such as interstate highways.

2. 100% of Individual Income Taxes goes for the payment of INTEREST (to central bankers and others) on the national debt.

3. Every time you buy any product or service from a corporation, you are paying the corporate tax on that item---it is proportionately built into the price. How many times do you want to pay income taxes?

4. Here is what CONGRESS has to say about the Income Tax---

In 2002, HR 2525 entitled The Fair Tax Act, began with these words, "CONGRESS FINDS [emphasis added] that the Federal income tax: (1) retards economic growth and has reduced the standard of living of the American public; (2) impedes the international competitiveness of United States industry; (3) reduces savings and investment in the United States by taxing income MULTIPLE times [emphasis added]; (4) slows the capital formation necessary for real wages to steadily increase; (5) lowers productivity; (6) imposes unacceptable and unnecessary administrative and compliance costs on individual and business taxpayers; (7) is unfair and inequitable; (8) unnecessarily INTRUDES UPON THE PRIVACY and civil rights of United States citizens [emphasis added]; (9) hides the true cost of government by embedding taxes in the costs of everything Americans buy; (10) is not being complied with at satisfactory levels and therefore raises the tax burden on law abiding citizens; and (11) impedes upward social mobility."

Those are the findings of Congress, not the Tax Honesty Movement.

LETTER FROM THE WALLET OF HORACE E. DODGE SR. - CIRCA 1920

"For the following reasons I am unable to send you the check asked for:

I have been held up, held down, sand-bagged, walked on, sat on, flattened out and squeezed. First, by the United States Government, for Federal War Tax, the Excess Profit Tax, the Liberty Loan Bonds, Thrift Stamps, Capital Stock Tax, Merchants License and Auto Tax, and by every Society and Organization that the inventive mind of man can invent, to extract what I may or may not possess.

From the Society of John the Baptist, the G.A.R., the Women's Relief, the Navy League, the Red Cross, the Black Cross, the Purple Cross, the Double Cross, the Children’s Home, the Dorcas Society, the Y.M.C.A., the Boy Scouts, the Jewish Relief, the Belgian Relief, and every hospital in town.

The Government has so governed by business that I don’t know who owns it. I am inspected, suspected, and examined and re-examined, informed, required and commanded so I don’t know who I am, where I am, or why I am here. All I know is I am supposed to be an inexhaustible supply of money for every known need, desire or hope of the human race; and, because I will not sell all I have and go out and beg, borrow or steal money to give away, I have been cussed, discussed, boycotted, talked to, talked about, lied to, lied about, hold up, hung up, robbed and nearly ruined; and, the only reason I am clinging to life is to see what in the H-ll is coming next."

I disagree with 9:34am
Ed has spoken his mind and we believes what he does. I don't have to agree with everything he says. I do agree he is justified in the actions taken, and I support the browns to hold out for a Higher Ruling. So what if Ed's comments are not on point. There is no real logic to the government any more. They refuse to answer and with all the evidence these days it is very clear there are things going on that scare the hell out of me. If it were not for the governments position that all supporters of the Browns will be arrested as aiding a criminal and the fact I have my own fight and a family to protect, I would be standing there with Ed. I wish those who were in a position to stand against the corrupt government would do stand with Ed. I have a hard time believing there are so few able to. America really has become a communist country when so many fear their government.

"1. Excise taxes pay for items such as interstate highways."

Nope. Excise taxes and tolls have been supplemented by federal funds for decades now.

"2. 100% of Individual Income Taxes goes for the payment of INTEREST (to central bankers and others) on the national debt."

Another lie. Read the actual federal budget (you can find it on the OMB website) instead of garbage you picked up on the internet.

"3. Every time you buy any product or service from a corporation, you are paying the corporate tax on that item---it is proportionately built into the price. How many times do you want to pay income taxes?"

If you get rid of corporate taxes, income taxes will be increased to cover the difference. If you get rid of income taxes, corporate taxes will be increased to cover the difference. Either way, you pay and what matters is what's in your pocket at the end of day.

"4. Here is what CONGRESS has to say about the Income Tax---"

Why are you quoting the same tired proposed bill that goes exactly nowhere every time it is introduced by the same politicians?

To tuva:

1. "...supplemented by Fed funds..."--- yes, from Fed EXCISE taxes on gasoline.

2. "Another lie."--- Wrong again---the info was not from the internet, but rather a hard copy of the Grace Commission Report. [Do you always jump to conclusions? It's best to get your facts straight before accusing someone of lying.]

"...OMB website..."--- Oh, you mean, "...garbage on the internet"? It is totally naive to think that the Govt never lies.

3. You miss the point. First, no one is suggesting that we get rid of corporate taxes. Corp income tax is an EXCISE tax---on the privilege of doing business under a govt charter. The Fed income tax on individuals is only "necessary" because Congress (in its spending habits) does not stay within the bounds of Constitutionally delegated power. Stop Congress from committing Constitutional torts and there is no need for the MISAPPLIED Individual Income Tax.

Years ago, the famed attorney Melvin Belli attempted to locate the law that required an income tax on the average American wage-earner. He did so because a man named Conklin offered $50,000 to anyone who could produce the law. BELLI CAME UP EMPTY.

If you think that law is USC Title 26, Subtitle A, Chapter 1 (The Income Tax), spend about 100 hours studying it---as I have---and I'm sure you'll change your mind. [Just so you know, I have extensive experience (from a past job) interpreting convoluted Fed Statutes.]

4. I'm quoting it because it is still being pursued by Congress, and it contains the findings of Congress. They are scrambling to replace the individual income tax because, govt claims to the contrary notwithstanding, about 50 MILLION individuals no longer file a Form 1040. That according to several ex-IRS Agents (who were not fired, but resigned in disgust) and other independent sources. According to former Agents, the IRS is so swamped with non-filers that it cannot address even 1% of them.

That's why it took the IRS ten years to get to Ed & Elaine. It took over ten years to get to Irwin Schiff. It took seven years to get to Wesley Snipes.

26 USC sec. 871(b) Imposition of tax
A nonresident alien individual engaged in trade or business
within the United States during the taxable year shall be taxable as provided in section 1 or 55 on his taxable income which is effectively connected with the conduct of a trade or business within the United States.
OK now show me where in the law it says the same thing about the earnings of American citizens living and working in the USA. They have no problem stating that nonresidents income which is effectively connected to the conduct of a trade or business with in the USA is taxed. That's pretty clear. But why not citizens? SHOW ME.

That is not what the Grace Commission, nor is the Grace Commission up to date. Start thinking for yourself and stop parroting paytriot myth you found on the internet. Read the Federal budget. It's easy if you even try. I know you won't though.

"It is totally naive to think that the Govt never lies."

Prove that the Federal budget numbers are all a lie. You might want to read them first.

"Years ago, the famed attorney Melvin Belli attempted to locate the law that required an income tax on the average American wage-earner."

And yet, Melvin Belli paid taxes (he doesn't any more because he's been dead for several years...)

Conklin is a con artist. Read the case he claims to have won.

He did so because a man named

"If you think that law is USC Title 26, Subtitle A, Chapter 1 (The Income Tax), spend about 100 hours studying it---as I have---and I'm sure you'll change your mind."

You don't need to spend 100 hours reading a half dozen Code sections (the ones that apply to most people) if English (not paytriot, politically correct, magical word speech) isn't your first language.

"[Just so you know, I have extensive experience (from a past job) interpreting convoluted Fed Statutes.]"

How that working for you so far? Show us all your big wins.

"They are scrambling to replace the individual income tax"

Except they aren't. The income tax panel went exactly nowhere last year, and that tired old Fairtax bill has been introduced session after session with no growing support.

"about 50 MILLION individuals no longer file a Form 1040."

That includes every, baby, child, old person, unemployed person, non working college student and underemployed person in this country. It's sad when you have to inflate your numbers to include tens of millions of people who have no filing requirement to begin with.

To tuva---

You jump to so many conclusions that I shall take time to respond to only a few of your uninformed responses---

1. The 50 million non-filers referred to are part of the approximately 130 million individuals REQUIRED to submit a 1040.

2. Of course Belli kept paying taxes---the fact that USC Title 26 does not apply to the average American wage-earner in no way stops the Government from pursuing non-filers. In addition, the subverted courts rarely ever allow tax defendants to present relevant evidence. On top of that, Belli was not an "average American wage-earner".

3. "Read the Federal budget. It's easy if you even try. I know you won't though."---
You have no knowledge whatsoever of what I read and don't read.

Sorry, but I have no more time for people who so easily jump to conclusions...and resort to ad hominem attacks.

Good luck to you in the New World Order, which will be brought about (in part) by uninformed supporters of those who promote Globalism and the destruction of national sovereignty.

No, in fact, they aren't.

Here's the most recent tax stats for returns filed this year (more returns will come in when the extension deadlines hit in August and October.)

2007 FILING SEASON STATISTICS

Cumulative through the weeks ending 5/5/06 and 5/4/07

Total Returns Receipts
2006 124,383,000
2007 127,959,000

My guess is you never met Mel Belli. He wasn't afraid of the government.

And it's funny how the Mel Belli story keeps changing. The first time I heard it told, it was a paralegal of Mel Belli, not Belli himself...
