There are many reasons why Americans living in the 50 states are not or should not be liable to pay an income tax. From the constitutional sense of the term "income" (corporate profit) to the legitimacy of the 16th amendment (not indisputably ratified) to the authority to assess liability (only the Secretary of the Treasury has that authority, and has never delegated it to the IRS for the public record), support for the income tax is legally on shaky ground for multiple reasons.
But the IRS does persuade most Americans that they have to pay, using language that seems as deceptive as legally possible; and they do come in with guns, and throw people in jail for "tax evasion" even if there is no tax liability in the first place, which is really the prosecution's responsibility to prove under IRC Section 7201. (See "Definition of tax evasion in the United States" in this link: tax-avoidance-and-tax-evasion.)
Ask yourself why the IRS doesn't show people the law. Instead they send in a swat team. If every US citizen is legitimately liable to pay a tax on wages, the IRS or courts should be able to point to a statute which makes that clear.
Look up Joe Banister. Also see http://paynoincometax.com. Just because the lower courts defend the income tax doesn't make it lawful -- they avoid proving liability, if you watch closely.
"Income tax" doesn't show up under "liability" or under "penalties" in the index of the tax code. Instead, there's an overly confusing book of legalese. So most people take the government's word for it, when what we should do is study our rights and defend them, even against those in our own government.

This is so sad. I pay my taxes and I am free to spend my time with my family, free will to leave my home and property, make phone calls, have my friends walk my dog without fear of being detained. Ed and Elaine, our prayers are with you. May God have legions of angels to surround and protect you, which I have no doubt he has already. Although we are in Michigan, we have discovered the corruption here as well and became sovereign to regain our freedom. More people need to be aware of the government's criminal activities perpetrated against "We the people" of this nation and stand up for our God given rights and reject the oppression and involuntary servitude imposed on us all. ReplyDeleteThere are many reasons why Americans living in the 50 states are not or should not be liable to pay an income tax. From the constitutional sense of the term "income" (corporate profit) to the legitimacy of the 16th amendment (not indisputably ratified) to the authority to assess liability (only the Secretary of the Treasury has that authority, and has never delegated it to the IRS for the public record), support for the income tax is legally on shaky ground for multiple reasons.
But the IRS does persuade most Americans that they have to pay, using language that seems as deceptive as legally possible; and they do come in with guns, and throw people in jail for "tax evasion" even if there is no tax liability in the first place, which is really the prosecution's responsibility to prove under IRC Section 7201. (See "Definition of tax evasion in the United States" in this link: tax-avoidance-and-tax-evasion.)
Ask yourself why the IRS doesn't show people the law. Instead they send in a swat team. If every US citizen is legitimately liable to pay a tax on wages, the IRS or courts should be able to point to a statute which makes that clear.
Look up Joe Banister. Also see http://paynoincometax.com. Just because the lower courts defend the income tax doesn't make it lawful -- they avoid proving liability, if you watch closely.
"Income tax" doesn't show up under "liability" or under "penalties" in the index of the tax code. Instead, there's an overly confusing book of legalese. So most people take the government's word for it, when what we should do is study our rights and defend them, even against those in our own government.
Ed & Elaine, you have a lot of courage. This has attracted public attention, so let's hope it leads people to investigate the truth about the corruption in our own government, and to rediscover the hope of real freedom, and the courage to stand for it.
This is so sad. I pay my taxes and I am free to spend my time with my family, free will to leave my home and property, make phone calls, have my friends walk my dog without fear of being detained. I don't have UFO's flying over my house with spot lights. The improvements to my home are done for comfort, not in fear of being attacked. I still have my business and a rewarding career.
